At the end of 2022, the Hotel AMANO Covent Garden officially opened the doors to its newest food & beverage offering, Penelope’s.

Penelope’s is a restaurant at ground level, offering a rich menu of Israeli-Spanish fusion food, inspired by the flavours Ariel Schiff, AMANO’s co-founder, discovered whilst growing up between Tel Aviv and southern Spain. Woods Bagot helped to deliver the interiors for this space, with a similar theme to the hotel. Dark yet glamourous details aim to bring a unique restaurant experience for guests and locals alike. As their website states, the restaurant encourages a “hands-in-the-air, dancing-on-the-table freedom.”

Marselle Jimenez, Interior Designer, and Mercedes Sarua, Senior Interior Designer, visited the venue for dinner shortly after the opening. Marselle commented: “We had a really nice experience while being there. The design went through some minor changes from concept to completion, but the overall outcome is great. The food was delicious, and they had a good selection of drinks too.

“The client was very keen on having a space where guests could have a one-of-a-kind dining experience while also dancing on the counter and, according to stories from the official launch party, this has been a success!”​​​​​​​
