Following her role on the monthly evaluation panel earlier this year, Woods Bagot Associate Principal, Asia Regional Workplace Interiors Sector Leader Elena Ma has been selected to join the prestigious FRAME Awards 2026 Grand Jury Panel for the Workplace category.
Christopher Lye, Principal and Hub Executive Chair – Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Singapore at Woods Bagot, has been invited to join the distinguished jury panel for the World Architecture News (WAN) Awards 2027.
Celebrating design excellence across the built environment, the WAN Awards recognize visionary projects that push boundaries in response to evolving urban needs.
With over two decades of international experience delivering award-winning retail-led, mixed-use, and urban destination developments across China and beyond, Chris brings deep expertise in place-making and urban regeneration to this year’s judging panel.
“The WAN Awards elevate organizations that go beyond aesthetics to solve real urban challenges,” says Chris. “By celebrating work that meaningfully connects commerce, culture, and community, the awards champion design leadership and inspire higher standards across the global built environment.”
When asked what advice he would give to prospective entrants creating their submissions, Chris highlights the importance of purpose-driven design:
“Tell us the why, not just the what. Show how your design addresses real-world urban challenges and brings people together. We’re looking for projects that balance commercially viable design with meaningful, enduring community value.”
