About the Role

Partner with Woods Bagot’s ANZ (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Auckland) businesses to provide strategic and operational People & Culture (P&C) guidance and leadership.

This role is responsible for embedding global P&C programs into Australia & New Zealand as well as managing the day-to-day P&C issues with studio management, embedding local P&C initiatives that will align the business plan objectives with people management and performance.

This position will ideally be based in our Melbourne Studio, but we would also consider candidates located in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Regional Executive Team to develop a People and Culture business plan that is in line with the strategic business plan and operational goals of Woods Bagot.
  • Talent management / Employee lifecycle – attraction, retention, development, succession planning, career development and off-boarding.
  • Provide advice and coaching to Managers on all Employee Relations issues including disciplinary, performance management and relative Employment Legislation.
  • Partner with studio resourcing team to ensure appropriate studio mix to win and deliver work.
  • Support effective decision making by openly and objectively challenging stakeholders.
  • Producing monthly HR data including headcount, staff movements, identifying trends, proactively addressing HR issues and cost savings, plus ad hoc reporting as required to support.
  • Risk mitigation in relation to people issues.
  • Develop and implement people related policies and projects in line with legislation and best practice HR.
  • Collaborate with the Global People and Culture team to create strategic programs that promote our culture and improve the effectiveness of our business for employees and leaders.
  • Embed company values and behaviours through actively driving employee engagement.
  • Champion a continual improvement and performance culture in the business.
  • Regional specific activity as required.

About You

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, capable of identifying and articulating key issues, with a solution-focused outlook. You have the ability to work in fast paced environment prioritising tasks with exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent time management skills.

Key Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Degree qualified in HR and/or Business discipline
  • Experience partnering with Senior Management and Executive teams
  • Experience in managing competing stakeholder agendas
  • Experience delivering key HR projects and initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills, identifying and articulating key issues, with a solutions focus
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment prioritising tasks with good time management skills
  • Ability to attend video conferences out of hours (with international studios / global environment) when required
  • Intermediate to advanced IT skills
