At the Urban Aesthetics Innovation and Development Forum, initiated by the Sichuan Provincial Architectural Design and Research Institute, Patrick joined designers from Shanghai and Sichuan to explore urban renewal under the theme “From Macro Urban Structure to Micro Spatial Experience.” 

As cities shift towards the renewal of existing urban fabric, design must balance heritage, functionality, public life and commercial value. Drawing on Woods Bagot projects including the Tianjin Jinmao Plaza and Shanghai Duolun Road urban renewal, Patrick shared how design can work across scales, from urban interfaces and architectural fabric to everyday human experience. By understanding the cultural and physical features of each site, design can preserve what matters while introducing new uses and experiences. 

At the “Design as Strategy” forum, Patrick explored how global design expertise can translate into distinctive local experiences. The forum examined the role of design in shaping brand value and responding to changing market expectations. Patrick presented a selection of Woods Bagot hospitality and lifestyle projects, he discussed how cultural context, brand positioning, spatial experience and market insight inform each project’s design narrative.  

With more than 20 years of architectural experience, Patrick brings a global perspective and refined design sensibility to complex projects, with a strong ability to navigate complexity and shape distinctive, thoughtful design outcomes.
