Jointly organized by the China National Furniture Association, Shanghai Bohua International Exhibition Co., Ltd., and ELLE DECORATION China, the Golden IDEA Design Award has been successfully held for ten years as a prestigious platform recognizing innovation and cultural significance in Chinese furniture design. 

The award celebrates designs that masterfully blend aesthetic innovation with human-centered thinking – honoring works that are not only visually compelling but genuinely meaningful to people’s lives. 

Reflecting on the experience, Pearl shared: 

“Truly meaningful design begins with human needs. It must offer comfort but also inspire and connect – giving people a sense of uplift and belonging.” 

She highlighted one standout example of innovation – the Algorithm Nature Sofa Series – which expertly combines meticulous craftsmanship with parametric design approaches often seen in architectural practice. “It represents exactly the kind of thoughtful, technically sophisticated design that Chinese creators are delivering today,” she noted. 

As the 2025 winners are revealed, the award continues to explore fundamental questions: What defines exceptional design? How does design engage with culture? And how can it genuinely enhance daily life?
