Plans lodged for new Woods Bagot designed lifestyle hotel in Western Sydney

QIC hero render

QIC Real Estate has lodged plans for a striking new 210-room hotel designed by Woods Bagot at Castle Towers, Castle Hill, in Sydney’s northwest.

It’s part of The Village, QIC’s once-in-a-generation mixed-use development which reimagines Castle Towers – already the region’s prime shopping destination – as a vibrant lifestyle hub.

At its heart will be the 17-storey hotel – inspired by nature, capturing sweeping Blue Mountains views – bringing a new standard of accommodation and hospitality to the prosperous Hills District.

“The hotel is a response to growing demand for business and leisure travel accommodation in the region,” QIC said.

“The urban retreat will include premium event facilities and an exciting clutch of upscale hospitality venues, creating a compelling 24/7 lifestyle destination that will pulse with life day and night.”

The Village also features a new 12-storey A-grade commercial building –the first of its type to be built in the area – plus extensive new retail with space for 70 brands, a live entertainment venue, dining precinct and landscaped public areas.

As the centrepiece of QIC’s long-term plan for the regeneration of the Castle Hill CBD, The Village will complete Castle Towers’ transformation into a wholly realised town centre.

“The evolution of Castle Towers into a vibrant, multifaceted urban hub is an example of how we’re bringing QIC’s town centre vision to life,” QIC Investment General Manager, Matthew James said.

“This is a bold new chapter for Castle Hill, which will deliver exciting new ways to live, work and play; drawing new audiences and delivering inspiration for future generations.”

Woods Bagot has an extensive hospitality design portfolio and Castle Towers is one of several significant projects the global architecture studio is involved with.

Since early 2021, six new Woods Bagot designed properties in Europe, Australia and the Middle East have opened, with more to come.
