China design leaders attend MIPIM Asia Summit and Awards

Design Leaders Ben Diu, Steve Palmier, Christopher Lye, Steven Trstenjak, Stefano Tronci, Winnie Suen, Katsuhiro Ozawa, Stephen Jones, Paul Lee, Billy Ip and Jean Weng will accept separate awards for three projects—two in China and one in Singapore—at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong along with their respective design team members.

Best Futura Project – Suzhou Yanlord Cangjie

This interconnected retail and leisure environment is designed to be a cultural landmark and destination in Suzhou, providing retail and public space combined with heritage and culture. The vision of the project is to enhance the ancient urban fabric of the old city and present an innovative re-interpretation of Suzhou’s traditional aesthetic, forming connections to the heritage while contributing to the regeneration and reactivation of old Suzhou. 

Best Futura Mega Project – Shimao Shenkong International Centre

Located in the Longgang District of Shenzhen, Shimao Shenkong International Centre is a mega mixed-use development that integrates the urban environment, incorporates local culture and artistic features, and is innovative and forward-looking in its design and lifestyle offering. The development combines several standout elements, including a super-tall tower, office and residential towers, an integrated lifestyle retail centre, a cultural and entertainment hub.

Best Mixed-Use Development – Funan Singapore

Located in the heart of Singapore’s Civic District, Funan is a new generation mixed-use urban development and experiential civic hub that integrates public spaces, commercial functions and cultural facilities with its urban location. It combines retail, entertainment, leisure, wellness, dining, office, co-working and co-living settings in one creative and socially conscious environment.
