Woods Bagot is proud to announce three wins at the 11th CREDAWARD ceremony, held on September 12 in Shanghai. We’re honoured to receive one Gold, one Silver, and one Merit award, recognising excellence across urban regeneration, commercial, and office projects.
As a retail street project in the Comprehensive commercial category, Suzhou Yanlord Cangjie sets a new benchmark for high-end commercial experiences. Seven years in the making, the project harmonizes Suzhou’s gardens with contemporary design while reflecting the city’s artistic traditions in the 140,000 sqm. The mixed-use destination homes over 200 brands – 70% new to Suzhou or China – alongside innovative features like its signature 3D vertical garden.
More than just a shopping destination, it has become a cultural hub hosting dynamic events while offering spaces for both social connection and quiet retreats, already attracting millions of visitors since its opening.
In Future Project – urban regeneration/renovation category, Shanghai Duolun Road project impressed the judges with its open-air museum concept, which blends century-old heritage with modern vibrancy in the 220,000 sqm and transforming the historic thoroughfare into a dynamic cultural hub. In collaboration with ERA-co, the “placemaking” brand in 7C network, the project demonstrates how we bring together the best international design talent with world-class local leaders, combining global expertise with local insight to deliver architecture for worlds ahead.
The two-phase development carefully balances preservation and progress – Phase 1 establishes a TOD business district with Grade A offices, while Phase 2 protects the area’s cultural legacy. Honoring Duolun Road’s original fishbone structure, the design weaves contemporary interventions through Shanghai’s architectural history, setting a new standard for urban renewal where immersive public spaces connect the neighborhood’s past to its future.
Nearing completion, this sleek office tower draws inspiration from Wuhan’s iconic Yellow Crane Tower, blending traditional motifs with contemporary design. The 200-meter landmark bridges the riverfront and business district, offering flexible workspaces, sunken plazas, and sky decks that foster collaboration.
Beyond its office function, it creates a vibrant ecosystem where commerce meets culture, complete with premium amenities designed to support Wuhan’s growth as a global business hub.
