The Brooklyn Tower’s Residential Lobby.
Leading the design of The Brooklyn Tower’s Residential Lobby and Amenity Spaces is Krista Ninivaggi, Principal and Interior Design Leader of Woods Bagot. Of the honor, Ninivaggi says:
From the outset of designing the residential lobby and amenities spaces for The Brooklyn Tower–the borough’s tallest building–I knew we needed to express the ambitions of the exterior on the interior at a human scale. I am grateful that Interior Design recognized my and my team’s intent by shortlisting the project as a 2022 Best of Year Finalist and find myself in good company among the lists of designers shaping the future of our practice.
The Brooklyn Tower is developed by the JDS Development Group and designed by SHoP Architects in collaboration with Woods Bagot and Gachot Studios and offers over 120,000 square feet of immersive indoor and outdoor amenities. Standing at 93 stories and over 1,000 feet in height, The Brooklyn Tower is a prominent contemporary landmark that is thoughtfully connected to an existing neighborhood treasure–the historic Dime Savings Bank of Brooklyn. It is anticipated that the building’s construction will conclude in early 2023, at which time New York will have a vibrant new mixed-use destination.
