Airport Waiting Area Demonstrates London’s Historical Aesthetic
Keeping both the customer’s journey and the historic architecture of London in mind, the flagship lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3 provides a place for up to 250 travelers to drink and dine, work, rest, and socialize. A neutral palette comprised of warm timbers, brass and leather provide visitors a sense of place while the rich green and blue hues in the upholstery alludes to the River Thames.

After the walnut and marble reception, customers can access to marble-clad restaurant and bar area with brass fixtures that are lined with bar seating both along the bar and the walls of the dining area. The main feature is a dramatic steel and brass clad staircase with terrazzo steps in the middle of the floor that carries visitors up to the second floor. There, visitors are greeted by a circular marble cocktail bar, complemented by a brass and glass chandelier floating above it. The second floor also features more intimate areas for dining and VIP lounges. Shower suites are also provided for travelers between flights.
