Vivian Lee, FAIA, LEED AP, is the New York Studio Executive Director. Her extraordinary pedigree as a designer and leader serves to elevate the studio culture, while her mission to foster sustainability enriches the environment. She champions for equitable practice and advocates for diversity and inclusion in the architectural community. Vivian was elevated to the College of Fellows by the American Institute of Architects in 2020, AIA’s highest honor, in recognition of her design accomplishments and contribution to the profession.

Her strong focus on her clients’ design goals, strategies, and schedules brings value to any project team. So does her diverse, global background, which has granted her a unique perspective in achieving design excellence and delivering dynamic places and spaces that enhance the human experience. Vivian has led award-winning projects in Europe, Asia, and the US, in the sectors of mixed-use, hotel, retail, airport, education, residential, and workplace interiors. Many of these have been featured in prestigious publications.

She is the Co-Chair of the AIANY Women in Architecture Committee, where she mentors young architects and promotes women in leadership and design roles. A frequent speaker, panelist, and juror, she has given talks at universities and conferences around the world. Vivian received her Bachelor in Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Summa Cum Laude Master in Architecture from Syracuse University in Florence, Italy.
