Former Make Architects Partner and Asia Pacific Director brings two decades of international experience to the Woods Bagot team.
Woods Bagot is pleased to announce that Simon Lincoln has joined the Sydney studio as Principal, effective 4 August 2025. Lincoln was previously a Partner and Asia Pacific Director at Make Architects, where he led the Sydney studio for over a decade.
Lincoln brings more than 20 years of architectural expertise, having worked on transformative projects across Australia and internationally. His portfolio includes major commercial developments and adaptive reuse projects, most notably Brookfield Place Sydney and The Capella Hotel, both landmark developments that have helped reshape Sydney’s urban landscape.
“Simon’s appointment represents a significant addition to our Sydney studio and the broader Woods Bagot global network,” said John Prentice, Principal and Sydney Studio Chair at Woods Bagot.
“With his strong experience leading design teams on city shaping projects—ranging from mixed-use developments to high-end hotels, large retail centres, and inner-city transport hubs—Simon’s expertise will be invaluable as we continue to deliver world-class architecture and design solutions for our clients.”
Lincoln relocated to Sydney in 2014 as the design lead for Brookfield Place Sydney, and has since established himself as a key figure in the Australian architectural landscape. His international experience spans Make’s studios in London, Sydney and Hong Kong, with additional project work in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Beijing, where he spent two years completing Make’s first built project in China.
“I’m excited to be joining Woods Bagot at such an exciting time for the practice,” said Lincoln. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the studio’s continued growth and working with the team to deliver exceptional, city-shaping projects.”
Throughout his career, Lincoln has been at the forefront of significant urban redevelopment projects, including his central role in the rejuvenation of Sydney’s Wynyard Precinct. His work demonstrates a deep understanding of how architecture can shape cities and influence how people interact with public spaces.
