HyperFocal: 0

The St Mary’s Calne School Library in Wiltshire UK is a project that has gone from strength to strength since it’s completion in late 2019. This beautifully simple rectangular pavilion, set at the heart of the school’s campus, has now been named ‘Small Project of the Year (up to £5m)’ at the annual Building Awards, one of the UK’s most renowned built environment awards.

The ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair, attended by 1,000 developers, contractors, designers, and other industry experts – marking a successful return to the much-anticipated face-to-face event.

“We are truly blown away with the amount of positive recognition this project has received. Being named ‘Small Project of the Year’ is testament to how hard the project team worked with the client on making a one-of-a-kind educational hub, one which reflects the ever-evolving nature of teaching and learning.”

Julian Cross, Principal and Design Lead Europe
