Recently-completed NZICC shortlisted for suite of awards

Te Temu has been shortlisted in two categories for the Auckland Architecture Awards and for the Property Council Industry Awards.

2026 Auckland Architecture Awards shortlist

The 2026 Auckland Architecture Awards shortlist has been revealed, with 64 projects named across eleven categories. The shortlisted projects were selected from entries in the awards program of the Auckland Branch of Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects.

Te Tumu New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) – by Warren and Mahoney, Woods Bagot and Moller Architects in association – has been shortlisted for the Interior Architecture and Public Architecture categories in the Auckland Architecture Awards.

With interior architecture and convention centre expertise delivered by Woods Bagot, the scheme incorporates blackened steel and silver beech hardwood, contrasting light and dark to echo the dramatic natural beauty of the New Zealand landscape. The highly adaptable design supports long-term resilience and allows the interior spaces to flex in response to changing needs.

The shortlist was compiled by a jury led by Rachael Rush of Klein Architects and rounded out by Nicholas Dalton (TOA Architects), Kelly O’Sullivan (SGA Architects) and Brian White (Edwards White Architects). The winners will be announced on Thursday 18 June.
