Now in its 10th year, the Property Council of Australia’s 500 Women in Property is a powerful industry initiative helping our members elevate female talent and create pathways to leadership across the property sector.
Woods Bagot is proud to share that five of our Australian team members have been selected for the Property Council of Australia’s 500 Women in Property Program for 2025:
Participation involves a personal commitment from sponsors – women and men – to actively champion a woman in their organisation or professional sphere. Sponsors advocate for their participants, raise their visibility, and support their career growth by helping them access new opportunities and meaningful industry exposure.
Each state and territory hosts events throughout the year, such as networking breakfasts, panel discussions, and development workshops. These events are designed to help participants grow their confidence and connections. Participants and sponsors will be invited to relevant events as they arise.
Woods Bagot CEO Sarah Kay says, “Gender diversity in the architectural profession and in the property industry more broadly has been an issue I have been aware of and impacted by all of my career. And unfortunately, it has not gotten significantly better over those 25 years. There are so many things we need to start and keep doing to truly make a difference, and the work the Property Council does in this area definitely has an impact. We’re delighted to see five of our team members selected for this prestigious program, which will help them develop the skills and connections needed to shape the future of our industry.”
500 Women in Property is an initiative of the Property Council of Australia’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committees designed to support and champion women in the property industry. The program connects women with sponsors who help grow their networks, open doors to new opportunities, and advocate for their career development.
This year’s program includes refreshed, exclusive masterclasses designed to build skills and confidence, plus networking opportunities at both local and national levels. The program runs in alignment with the financial year (July – June), with key events and engagement opportunities scheduled throughout the year.
