Project details

The 3rd collaboration between Convene and Woods Bagot New York and London Studios, 30 Hudson Yards event space is the largest of the Convene locations in NYC and sets a new standard for high design workplace and conference venues in the city.

Atop the 24th floor of the iconic 30 Hudson Yards building, the space offers impressive skyline views, bespoke event spaces, a 780-person grand hall, and an overall capacity of over 1,400.

Woods Bagot’s design for Convene 30 Hudson Yards incorporates approximately 60% of the existing fit-out, preserving the building’s clean lines and spectacular views while introducing a fresh, high-design intervention.

Convene 30 Hudson Yards draws on 3 main influences: architectural, experiential, and cultural. The architectural approach is inspired by the neighboring Chelsea area, in particular the clean, bright aesthetic and flexible spaces of the many art galleries in the neighborhood which enhance visibility and adaptability. Like The High Line of New York City.

The space connects people with memorable experiences and provides a sense of belonging. The journey through the space emulates the richness seen in the neighborhoods adjacent streets and avenues of Midtown and the West Side. Mid-century modernism leads the cultural side of the design, injecting a layer of warmth into the space and informing the fixtures, fittings and furnishings with a contrasting depth and form.
