Vertical campus exemplifies collaborative and blended learning through a highly connected learning environment.
Following on from the success of the Western Sydney University Parramatta CBD Campus (with interior design also by Woods Bagot), the University established a 10 story vertical campus within Liverpool delivering the highest quality educational opportunities to one of Sydney’s emerging CBDs.
The University wanted to activate new opportunities for collaborative partnerships with the public and private sector in the local region and this new campus location creates a central location for residents in the wider region.
Talk to Sarah Ball about Education and Science
This new city campus typology supports a centralised education offering that will make tertiary education more easily available to the Western Sydney population catchment. The vertical campus typology provides a highly connected learning environment to nurture the next generation of social science and nursing and midwifery graduates. The design approach was based on our value proposition of creating a vibrant, highly connected, and brand defining campus for WSU in Liverpool. The building exemplifies collaborative and blended learning, providing accessible shared services such as a library, student hub and student services catering to over 2,000 students.
