A distinctive workplace designed to reflect brand identity
Woods Bagot completed the fit-out of Westfield’s European headquarters in London’s Midtown in 2013.
Talk to Peter O’Donnell about Workplace Interiors
Westfield occupies the sixth floor of the Midcity development, built around a ten-storey high glass atrium. Woods Bagot worked to create a distinctive identity for the offices – recognisable from any part of the building – that ties in to the Westfield brand. 154 full-time staff work from the 20,000sqft space. The reception area of the office has the look and feel of a luxury hotel lobby, while being distinctively ‘Westfield.’ The sliding doors between meeting rooms open into the lobby, allowing the space to be fluid and flexible to accommodate different types of meetings as well as serving as a function space in its own right.
With just a handful of offices for senior management, the vast majority of staff work within a generous open plan space. The large kitchen is fully equipped and looks over the atrium, providing a fresh and modern space for employees to relax and socialise. The reaction from clients and management has been extremely positive, with both feeling that the new office allows for greater productivity as well as the opportunity to meet growth targets.
