In North America, ongoing appointments of women to key leadership roles have reinforced the valuable contributions that women bring to the business of design and illustrate how gender parity in the workplace benefits all.
Across Woods Bagot’s seventeen global studios, women are paving the way to success, and this fact is particularly observable in North America. In New York, Vivian Lee oversees the studio as the Executive Director, and Krista Ninivaggi brings her experience in interior design to her role as Principal & Interior Design Leader. In Los Angeles, Christiana Kyrillou makes crucial directional decisions with a client-focused approach as Principal. In San Francisco, Maureen Boyer runs the studio as Executive Director, and Katy Mercer serves as Principal and Regional Interior Design Leader. Each of these leaders also acts as a mentor to a growing number of next-generation AEC professionals within their studios and beyond.
Presently in the US, as well as the UK and Australia, the month of March provides a chance to commemorate women’s accomplishments during Women’s History Month, and on March 8, the celebration is observed on an international scale. Yet even outside these annual markers, Woods Bagot places a high value on the contributions of women and is dedicated to furthering its already successful women leadership pipeline, as well as seeing inclusivity and intersectionality flourish in the workplace all year long.
