Mercedes-Benz Places in Miami presents: a first look inside

JDS Development Group and Mercedes-Benz reveal the first look inside the inaugural North American branded residential project featuring luxury residences and a visionary approach to urban living in Brickell, Miami.

Following the announcement earlier this year by JDS Development Group, a US-based real-estate company, and Mercedes-Benz of a new 67-story, mixed-use residential development in Miami, newly released images of the interiors illustrate the merging of modern living spaces with innovative mobility concepts.

The reveal took place during an exclusive event before the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix weekend at The Concours Club, a members-only motorsports facility in Miami. The guests were not only the first to get an impression of the residences’ interior but also to attend a talk hosted by Toto Wolff, Team Principal & CEO Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and Michael Stern, the Founder and CEO of JDS Development Group. Test drives in Mercedes-AMG GT R cars on the racetrack with professional drivers from Mercedes-Benz USA completed the unique experience of lifestyle in Miami.

Each residence is an immersion in modernity and luxury

Beauty elevates the innovative, exclusive, and sustainable features of the residences at Mercedes-Benz Places in Miami into highly desirable emotional experiences. Ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, the interior designs have been meticulously conceived and created by the interior experts at Woods Bagot, working in close collaboration with the Mercedes-Benz design team. Residences feature up to 10 ft floor to ceiling windows, deep terraces, and spectacular views of Miami, Biscayne Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and beyond.

Crisp blacks and whites create highlights and contours complemented by warm woods and significant graphic elements, reflecting the brand’s typical automotive-detailing, precision, and extraordinary quality. The custom-designed kitchens are offered in light and dark finishes, such as black stone countertops paired with super white-stained red oak and metal wrapped upper cabinets in a black finish. They are further characterized by custom islands, integrated Miele appliances, and tinted etched mirror backsplashes with integrated-home technology.

Highlights of the principal baths include light and dark finish options, including Nero Marquina or Bianco Gioia stone showers with fully integrated rain shower head and an illuminated Bianco Gioia marble ledge as well as a floating vanity with marble countertops and walnut doors.  Subtle curves create form and function, echoing Mercedes-Benz’ freeform and geometry.

Project interior design leader and Woods Bagot New York Principal, Krista Ninivaggi said “This project allowed us to dream up new worlds to exist within this building. Having the Mercedes-Benz brand as our springboard allowed us to work within a different design language. This project looks unique yet feels rooted in the brand aesthetics. It is truly a special project to work on as a designer.”

The Mercedes-Benz design team has worked in collaboration with award-winning SHoP Architects for the exterior and Woods Bagot for the interiors to ensure the structure embodies the brand’s design philosophy of Sensual Purity.
