About the Role

Our Melbourne studio is a dynamic, collaborative environment where design excellence and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a talented Senior Designer/Architect to join our team and contribute to a diverse range of projects, with a strong focus on residential and mixed-use typologies. Experience in flex spaces will also be highly regarded.

You’ll be an experienced project lead with the ability to run a team across multiple phases, guiding both design and documentation with clarity and purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Design Leader in the realisation of client briefs
  • Undertaking the production of the project in accordance with that brief
  • Provide technical support on drawings and documentation
  • Work closely with the design team in the review ideation and the evolution of our projects and assist in resolving complex design issues
  • Ability to communicate in sketches, 3D vignettes and technical drawings
  • Liaising and ability to coordinate with external consultants, including cross checking of drawings and Revit models
  • Happy to be hands on and work across the DA/CD documentation stages when required
  • Respond to project correspondence as directed by the Project Leader but also capable of taking initiative where possible.

About You

As the successful candidate you will have experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have specialised experience in the design and construction of architectural projects.

You will be able to Demonstrate

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in the architecture field
  • A Master’s Degree in Architecture
  • Proven ability to guide and mentor a team across multiple phases of a project
  • Very strong Revit skills (Dynamo experience advantageous)
  • Strong Rhino skills (Grasshopper highly regarded)
  • Solid knowledge of the full Adobe suite (InDesign & Photoshop essential)
  • Enscape and additional rendering software programs (e.g. Vray)
  • Ability to communicate a clear design narrative
  • Ability to guide and curate a comprehensive documentation package
  • Demonstrated skills in concept design through to design development
  • Strong technical knowledge of project delivery requirements
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Knowledge of local BCA standards and regulations
  • Experience in residential and mixed-use projects is ideal; flex space experience is a bonus
