About the Role

The role of the Project Accountant is to manage activities relating to project accounting, studio’s administration, management accounting, and to provide support to Studio Executive, Stream Leaders and Project Leaders across the Sydney Hub (Sydney, Brisbane and Perth Studio).

In addition, the general overview of key responsibilities includes but not limited to:

  • Administrating project accounting and reporting for the studio including but not limited to revenue recognition, billing, maintaining percentage complete, project revenue and resources forecasting, and project reconciliation.
  • Supporting the Studio Leadership, Project Leader and staff on all project finance related matters and ensuring all financial requests for information are delivered within the required time frame to the standard expected.
  • Follow through and resolution of further information/clarification on requests that may be conflicting or may not be able to be met within the given time frame to effectively prioritise tasks.
  • Understanding and utilising the broader finance network to support your role in conjunction with the Regional Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will have previous proven experience managing budgets and finances for multiple large-scale commercial projects. The individual will also possess the relevant bachelor’s degree and CA/CPA qualification.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • 4+ years in an accounting role, with experience in project accounting.
  • A high level of skill in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Knowledge of BST project management system is highly desirable.
  • High level of attention to detail with rigorous follow up.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks & manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as autonomously.
  • Agile and able to adapt to change.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
