About the Role

The Design Technology Content Specialist supports the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Woods Bagot’s digital content ecosystem. Working as part of the global 7C Design Technology team, the role focuses on delivering high-quality, standardised content that is intuitive and easy to use for design teams, while contributing to more efficient, scalable, and data-aware content workflows across platforms including Revit and other design and computational tools (e.g. Rhino, Grasshopper).

In addition to developing Revit content, the role supports the evolution of content creation methods through automation, structured data application, and ongoing optimisation of the global library. The position plays a key role in ensuring content is usable, performant, and aligned with real project needs across studios, with a strong emphasis on reducing friction in day-to-day design workflows.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop, maintain, and update Revit content in line with established global standards, ensuring consistency, usability, and performance.
  • Deliver content efficiently while contributing to a structured, scalable, and well-organised global library.
  • Ensure content is intuitive and easy to use for design teams, prioritising clarity, simplicity, and practical application in live projects.
  • Apply defined parameter standards, classifications, and metadata to support documentation, scheduling, and downstream use.
  • Review and enhance manufacturer content to meet Woods Bagot requirements for quality, usability, and performance.
  • Support content audits and optimisation, including identifying duplication, underutilised content, and opportunities for rationalisation.
  • Contribute to automation workflows (e.g. Dynamo, Rhino/Grasshopper or similar) to improve efficiency in content creation and management.
  • Monitor content usage and performance, providing feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Test and validate content to ensure reliability, parametric behaviour, ease of use, and minimal model impact.
  • Support library organisation and discoverability and provide day-to-day guidance to project teams on content usage.

About You

You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality, consistent outputs, with a strong understanding of how digital content is used within live design projects. You are comfortable working within defined standards while contributing to their ongoing refinement and take a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and improving workflows.

You balance production delivery with problem solving and continuous improvement and have a strong interest in automation and evolving digital design processes. You bring a user-focused mindset, with the ability to create content that is clear, intuitive, and easy for design teams to adopt, supported by strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in BIM content development, Revit modelling, or a related design technology role.
  • Proven capability in Revit family creation and content development.
  • Solid understanding of parametric modelling principles and best practice content authoring.
  • Experience applying structured parameters, metadata, and classification systems within Revit.
  • Exposure to Dynamo or other scripting tools for automation is preferred.
  • Exposure to Rhino, Grasshopper, or other computational design tools is advantageous.
  • Understanding of how BIM content supports documentation, scheduling, and data outputs.
  • Experience reviewing and improving manufacturer content for project use.
  • Familiarity with content management platforms or structured libraries is desirable.
  • General understanding of interoperability considerations (e.g. IFC) is beneficial.
  • Background in architecture, engineering, or construction, with practical exposure to design documentation workflows.
