Architect

Woods Bagot Sydney Studio are seeking an experienced Architect / Designer to join our design team.

About you

We are seeking someone with the following experience.

  • 8 + years or equivalent experience
  • A talent for design but with experience across all project phases
  • Strong Revit competence
  • Rhino and Enscape competence preferable
  • Experience leading small-medium scale projects
  • Well-developed client skills and experience managing Consultants
  • The capability to lead less experienced team members
  • Residential and commercial (workplace) sector experience highly regarded
  • Architectural registration highly regarded but not essential

 

About the role

This role will immediately hit the ground running working on an existing Woods Bagot project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing conceptual design solutions to the design problems and parameters agreed with the client and as contained in the Brief.
  • Undertaking thorough research of both the client’s needs, requirements and other similar or related projects to gain a full understanding of the design problems and parameters.
  • Assisting the Project Principal in the formulation of the Client Brief for the project in conjunction with the client.
  • Undertaking the management of the schematic design process.
  • Producing a conceptual design solution with awareness of, and response to, the strategic, financial and time planning for the project.
  • Providing leadership to the Project Team and undertake an ongoing review of subsequent stages of the project to ensure that the integrity of the agreed design solutions are maintained particularly in terms of the development of the design and late variations to the design brief.
  • Assisting Design Leaders through participation in design reviews and mentoring.
