About the Role

Woods Bagot is seeking an experienced Senior Designer / Architect to expand its Los Angeles Studio. The successful candidate will participate in the delivery of high-quality design projects for our clients. This is a career growth opportunity that will allow you to gain valuable experience working alongside our Design Principal in the design, documentation and delivery of our award-winning projects. This position requires a true all-rounder who is capable of both design and project leadership. Key Responsibilities:

You will assist the project team in the designing and delivery of projects across multiple sectors, performing a variety of architectural assignments including:

  • Prepare, produce and present detailed architectural drawings, design proposals, and specifications as appropriate for project delivery with an emphasis on technical design detail.
  • Define and develop functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations, and prepare information regarding the design and technical documentation.
  • Consult and assist contractors, consultants, interior designers, and other professionals with project coordination and problems.
  • Communicate design intent effectively to the design team, contractors, and consultants.
  • Report to and keep supervisors apprised of the status of and any issues with the project.
  • Support projects across the studio and assist with project workflows.
  • Contribute to design ideas and research.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

About You

You are a talented and experienced Architect with a strong design sensibility and solid technical capability. You enjoy working across all stages of a project – from early design through to documentation and delivery – and are comfortable contributing both creatively and technically within a collaborative studio environment.

You bring a thoughtful, solutions-focused approach to your work, balancing design excellence with attention to detail and practical problem-solving. You communicate clearly with team members, consultants, and clients, and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes that align with project goals and timelines. You thrive in a fast-paced, design-led practice, are eager to continue developing your skills, and enjoy working across a variety of project types.

You will be able to Demonstrate:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in all phases of Architecture.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, and Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred.
  • Ability to work on different project types and to meet unique challenges and responsibilities of working in a design team.
  • Collaborative skills and capable of working independently to self-educate in unknown or unfamiliar areas of practice.
  • Strong modelling skills.
  • The ability to balance teamwork with self-direction and work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Clear and strong graphic and communication skills.
  • Motivation to perform duties and tasks effectively and efficiently, with the ability to identify, understand, process, and solve complex problems.
  • High-degree of drive and initiative for professional development.
  • A passion for design excellence and commitment to timely delivery of project deadlines.
