About the Role

Our Sydney studio is looking for a design‑led architectural leader to help shape some of our most significant projects. You’ll guide teams through concept, design and delivery, ensuring our work is thoughtful, technically strong and aligned with client expectations.

You’ll collaborate closely with Principals, support the growth of the studio, and bring a steady hand to complex project environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring, solving challenges with clarity, and contributing to a positive, creative studio culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of major projects, providing clear direction to teams.
  • Develop and communicate strong narrative‑based design concepts
  • Oversee project coordination, ensuring quality across all phases
  • Work closely with internal teams and external consultants to resolve complex design and technical issues
  • Contribute to design reviews and integrate advanced digital tools into project workflows
  • Support client relationships and contribute to bids, presentations and industry engagement
  • Mentor and guide designers, helping build a collaborative, high‑performing studio culture.

About You

You are a seasoned architectural leader with a strong record of guiding teams, shaping design outcomes and delivering complex, large‑scale projects. You combine strong conceptual design ability with advanced technical judgement, and you thrive on elevating both people and projects.

You will be able to Demonstrate

  • Registration as an Architect (or eligibility) with ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams through complex project environments.
  • Complex building experience with an attitude that is methodical, rigorous and disciplined in the practice of architecture.
  • Deep design capability with a portfolio showing conceptual strength and clarity of narrative.
  • Strong technical expertise across delivery, coordination, quality assurance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Advanced digital skills, including:
  • Revit (computational workflows highly regarded)
  • Rhino + Grasshopper
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop essential)
  • Rendering tools such as Enscape or V-Ray
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development
  • The ability to produce clear and logical written communication and presentations in English.
