The Role

This is an exciting career growth opportunity that will allow you to take ownership of components feeding into mid to large scale projects, supporting the Senior Architects. You will have a positive, and professional attitude towards clients and fellow co-workers.

This role would suit an experienced junior Architect looking to grow their career. Commencing as a 2IC to a project lead and developing into a project leader in the very near future.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Work closely with the Principal in charge in the ideation and evolution of our projects design and assist in resolving complex design issues
  • Work as a 2IC to the project leader in the design development and delivery of the project, with accountability and responsibility for an intermediate package or component of the project
  • Ability to communicate in sketches, diagrams, 3D vignettes and technical drawings
  • Undertake the production of the project in accordance with the brief, including production of design reports, planning submissions and documentation packages.
  • Liaison and an ability to coordinate with the work of external consultants and designers, including cross checking of drawings and Revit models and resolving complex issues
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks and escalate where necessary.
  • Assist the Project Leader in maintaining quality delivery outcomes.
  • Maintain an awareness of all matters relevant to the design and production of the deliverables for the project.

About You

As the successful candidate you will have experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have specialised experience in the design and construction of architectural projects.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5-10 years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Architecture field
  • Hold a Masters Degree in Architecture
  • Registered Architect, highly desirable
  • Proven experience on large scale commercial projects
  • Proven experience working on design elevated projects
  • Proficient Revit and Rhino skills essential
  • Solid knowledge of the full Adobe suite (InDesign & Photoshop essential).
  • Demonstrate ability to work autonomously in testing and resolving design issues.
  • Demonstrate sound skills in overarching design development and delivery
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of project delivery requirements
  • Knowledge of local NCC standards and regulations.
  • Keen eye for design and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work constructively in a team environment, as well as mentor less experience team members.
  • Superior Communication skills to work with internal and external clients and consultants.
  • Experience in residential and mixed use projects as a base is required, additional experience in broader typologies is an advantage.
