The London headquarters for Lendlease are part of a major office and retail development at Regent’s Place in London’s West End and designed to consolidate Lendlease’s asset base within the United Kingdom.
Woods Bagot was tasked to deliver a highly sustainable office environment that would exemplify Lendlease’s values and brand as part of a mixed-use development.
The team has created a space that reinforces Lendlease’s brand from the ground floor reception though to the client and workspace levels. Occupying four floors around a large atrium, the offices clearly define Lendlease’s space to create a real sense of ownership for employees and visitors.
Honesty, integrity and sustainability were core considerations for the brief. The scheme used reclaimed timber and cor-ten steel, and has sought to create spaces that combine elements of lifestyle and workspace to encourage collaborative working and a sense of community amongst employees.
Key features include a habitat wall adjacent the level two cafe terrace and a bio-diverse roof terrace which staff are encouraged to take an active role in managing along with breakout zones and multiple ‘refresh points’ to give Lend Lease’s employees ownership of the spaces they work in.
The project, which took just under 12 months to complete, embodies Woods Bagot’s aim to integrate lifestyle aspects into the workplace to ensure a more engaging and healthier working environment.
