In Baku, the Woods Bagot team alongside Buro Happold, Arup and Azerbaijan Airlines are working to design a new international terminal at Heydar Aliyev International
The vision is to create an iconic new complex by refurbishing the existing terminal building; and building a new terminal adjacent to the existing one, as well as a new air traffic control tower.
The airport is located approximately 30km north east of Baku on the outskirts of the city and this iconic project will see a substantial investment to triple the capacity of the airport.
In order to meet the tight timeframe, this high profile project will be delivered by a co-located design team based on-site in Baku, with additional support from the Dubai and London studios.
Designed by Arup in association with Woods Bagot.
