The dramatic design creates an interwoven language that symbolizes the relationship between two cultures.
The proposed design is a physical manifestation of the vision statement of the the Client. The building creates an interwoven language, where the identities of the home country and the guest country overlap and nest, symbolizing towards reciprocity and cooperation.

The proposal opens up certain parts of the structure, and provides views inside and out through sweeping arches while considering tight security requirements. The courtyard, is reinterpreted in three dimensions, carving a porous void within the structure. Traditional facade treatments, such as oriental brick and the mashrabiya, inspire the modular grid of the upper masonry screen, that provides security while allowing the movement of light and air from outside to inside. In places, the building peels away to reveal curved stone walls, expressing solidity and grace. The Embassy integrates the landscape within the building, drawing on the seminal garden typologies of each ancient culture.
