Located on St Georges Terrace and overlooking Perth’s Swan River Brookfield Place Tower 2 is a PCA Prime grade office development in the hearth of Perth CBD encompassing new generation workspaces, car parking, end of trip facilities and high quality conference facilities. A significant landscaped public space links Brookfield Place Tower 2 and the surrounding buildings, collectively referred to as ‘Brookfield Place’. The precinct links directly to a transport hub of bus and train stations via a new purpose built a pedestrian bridge.

The 82-metre tower has been designed from the inside out with an overall goal of creating a high performance, efficient and functional workplace for the current and next generation. It comprises 33,600 square metres of net leasable area over 16 office levels. One of key features of the floor plate design was the removal of the corner columns which assist to open up the office space to a panoramic view of the City, Swan River, Kings Park or Elizabeth quay.

The underlying principles of designing this project was to create a new generation workspace in a building that is of its place, responding to the urban and civic qualities of City of Perth by detailing of the tower itself and recognising that we are operating on a more macro scale to the podium structure. The development has been designed to enhance the public realm and rejuvenate the area while remaining sensitive to the surrounding context. It helps to define a well-proportioned city square with rich connectivity, both physical and visual, to the surrounding public realms. 

An atrium has been designed to spatially connect the main foyer at plaza level to the entrance at Mounts Bay Road. This activates the building edge along Mounts Bay Road and promotes pedestrian flow along this road. Accordingly, we have created an inspirational workplace that actively encourages inclusion and collaboration to ensure that tenants can attract and retain the best and brightest space. The floor plate orientation and leading sustainability initiatives make Brookfield Place Tower 2 a premium building for the top end of the Perth corporate market. It is expected that the leading law, accounting and financial firms who occupy this building will drive the economy of Perth into the future.
