Debby’s 27 years of architecture experience in the UK and US has focused on the education, residential and masterplan sectors. With a gift for driving design and delivery of large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders, Debby’s core strength is in building successful, collaborative teams. The Stirling Prize shortlisted Westminster Academy is among her high-profile projects, which together have won over 15 RIBA, AIA, WAF and Civic Trust awards. She has lectured and been guest critic at UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture, University of Westminster and University of Cambridge and been selected as a judge in the RIBA London Regional Awards 2020.
She is an accredited BREEAM-AP with a track record of transforming practice culture and processes in sustainability through leadership. Her deep commitment to the issue of climate change is embedded in all her work and informs her role as Europe Lead for Woods Bagot’s GIG (Global Impact Group). She recently co-edited the LETI Climate Emergency Design Guide, launched in January 2020 and continues to collaborate industry wide on NetZero initiatives.
At Woods Bagot Debby’s key projects in the UK includes the Assembly Buildings, University of Glasgow School of Engineering, St. Mary’s Calne Library and STEM buildings, and a growing portfolio of higher education projects.
