Brisbane Studio Receives Commendation at AIA (Queensland) Awards.

June 28, 2016

The Brisbane studio has received a commendation for Interior Architecture in the Australian Institute of Architects’ 2016 Queensland State Architecture Awards announced recently in Brisbane.

Woods Bagot Principal and Studio Chair Bronwyn McColl said the commendation cemented the positive outcomes that an interior fitout can have on a workspace.

"Since moving into the new space, many staff regularly choose to walk or ride to work, are more actively involved in staff engagement activities and feel a great sense of pride in having their workplace on show." she said.

Eighty-three projects were shortlisted for state honours at the Regional Architecture Awards program, of which 48 projects were selected for 58 accolades across Named Awards, Awards and Commendations at the Queensland Architecture Awards event, with a number of projects receiving multiple mentions.

Other projects that received commendations in the same category included:

  • Uniting Care Queensland by Hassell (BNE)
  • Queensland University of Technology Q Block Redevelopment by DWP|Suters (BNE)
  • Woods Bagot Brisbane Studio by Woods Bagot (BNE)
  • ALTA Main Beach by Willemsen Architecture (GC)
