Future: Property Tech hosted its 5th annual event on May 16, 2016. At this key event in the growing world of “Proptech," members of the Woods Bagot London Studio hosted a roundtable on the “Convergence of Building and Technology” and had the opportunity to present our company to this growing side of the technology sector.
“It’s important for Woods Bagot to be at the forefront of these events that bring together leaders of the industry,” said Simon Saint, Senior Associate. “We’re here to learn and discuss new technologies and innovations, to hear from other thought leaders and gain insights on what’s happening outside our world. Our involvement in this event has already led to an opportunity to partner with JLL on joint research based on our SUPERSPACE team’s industry leading work.”
Simon was joined by Senior Associate Tarran Kundi and Head of Business Development Pendrick Brown at the forum to introduce our SUPERSPACE team to virtual reality.
Additionally, while at the Propteq Europe 2016 event,
Proptech is rapidly becoming a major part of London’s technology sector, with almost all of the focus shifting towards disrupting the real estate agents with consumer and landlord facing technology. Conspicuously absent from the Proptech discussions is the construction and architecture sectors.
“At both events Woods Bagot was the only architecture practice in attendance and representation from the construction and development industry was extremely thin on the ground,” said Pendrick. “With our world leading design technology and SUPERSPACE teams, we are uniquely positioned to join in the conversations and pioneer through engagement in this growing industry.”
