Woods Bagot Principal and Technical Innovation leader Shane Burger has been invited to present at the Construction Innovation 2017 Forum.
Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 14-15 September, the forum brings together thought leaders and practitioners from across the world to provide insight into how leading firms are using technological advancements to deliver innovative best practice solutions in the building and construction industry.
A recognised leader in the advanced use of technology in design and the built environment, Shane’s presentation will discuss how new technology is enabling the network of design, engineering and construction to collaborate and deliver next generation spatial experiences.
“BIM, Computation, VR and AR, digital fabrication, drones… Despite all the advances in design and construction technologies in the past decade, we remain a profession stuck designing and erecting buildings more suited to 20th Century social environments.”
Shane will explore how the integration of digital art at Wynyard Walk exemplifies the transition from static to dynamic spatial experiences.
“We are seeking to challenge and provoke innovation in quality and efficiency in the design and realisation of buildings from a people-centric perspective.”
In addition to his keynote address, Shane will join an international industry panel discussion on the topic of Change Management, Lean Construction and Integrated Project Delivery.
