New Quay Promenade

Silver and Bronze Towers Offer Waterfront Living.

Two residential towers inspired by crystal-like shapes have been realized in Melbourne’s waterfront Docklands district. Collectively, the angled layout creates one built form approach by utilizing scale and height to maintain privacy and maximize views. Situated on a rectangular site, two separate entrances have been integrated at opposite ends to manage ground level activity. These geometric forms continue into the façade, which is comprised of several pieces of glass each angled at a different degree to resemble the movements of water in Victoria Harbor with its textured surface. To create an identity for each piece, the building closest to the water is decorated in “cooler,” silver-colored glass, while the other has hues golden hues. All apartments feature floor to ceiling windows. Echoing the history of the docks, natural timber oak flooring is streamlined throughout the living areas, enhanced by wool carpet in the bedrooms. Customized joinery, European appliances and stone benchtops complement timeless design. Residents enjoy an array of facilities such as a landscaped terrace with barbecues, an indoor 25-metre swimming pool, spa and sauna, gymnasium and lobby with private meeting rooms.
