Technical Lead – Interiors

Our busy London studio is looking for a Technical Delivery Lead – Interiors, to join our team of high performers to work on both UK and global projects.

Leading teams in the delivery of commercial interior design lifestyle focused projects, such as Residential, Hospitality, Hotels and Workplace.

About Woods Bagot

We are collaborative in our approach and as such you will be an asset to our regional team, assisting on global projects to produce creative and effective designs for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams through the production of technical documentation of all stages (RIBA Stage 3 onwards) including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Lead technical coordination with external consultants and liaise amongst the design team
  • Lead detail design scheme with engineering services and specialist sub consultants
  • Contribute to the preparation of space planning, test fitting for projects at scheme design stage
  • Lead the review of all shop drawings
  • Lead site queries
  • Lead and maintain strong client relationships

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team.

You will be able to demonstrate,

  • A strong eye for design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive and professional attitude and presentation
  • Strong 10+ years’ experience (or equivalent) working with a focus on delivering Interior Design technical packages
  • A strong eye for design
  • Strong and varied Lifestyle Interiors sector experience across commercial Residential, Hotel, Hospitality & Workplace spaces
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Client facing experience
  • A positive and professional attitude and presentation
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with suppliers
  • Demonstrate strong skills in all aspects of the production of technical documentation and coordination
  • Excellent space planning skills
  • Technical knowledge and ability to developing fit out details and take the design through all stages of documentation
  • UK standards and regulation knowledge essential

Qualifications and skills

In addition to holding a relevant Architecture or Interior Design qualification, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Your experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience leading teams across all technical stages
  • Strong Revit skills and capability of using independently – essential
  • 3D skills highly regarded
  • Solid knowledge of the full Adobe suite (InDesign & Photoshop essential)
