About the role

This role requires a combination of high level technical skill, leadership, and experience in the use of technology for the design and delivery of projects. Within this role you are responsible for the quality of Woods Bagot technical design across your projects. The focus and outcome will be on maintaining client satisfaction, while ensuring our projects meet milestones, deliverables and outcomes.

About you

As the successful candidate you will have past experience leading a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have extensive, specialised experience in the design and construction of architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for leading the quality of technical design performance for specific projects
  • Direct the project Technical Design scope and methodology
  • Manage the day to day running of projects including client liaison
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation
  • The ability to coordinate with external consultants, including cross checking of drawings and Revit models
  • Happy to be hands on and work across the documentation stages when required
  • Collaborate with the Project Design Leader to identify Technical Design features and opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Studio Design Technology Manager to establish BIM / Delivery Strategy
  • Monitor the project progress
  • Monitor the quality of Design documents produced and verify that they meet Woods Bagot standard

You will be able to demonstrate

  • Strong experience in design, architecture or engineering
  • Strong knowledge of design technology related software applications
  • Extensive experience with the use of technology on large and complex projects
  • Knowledge of BIM practices, standards and workflows
  • Advanced/Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit (depending on project scale)
  • Knowledge of related BIM design, analysis and delivery tools (eg. Rhino, Ecotect, Navisworks)
  • Hold a Masters Degree in Architecture
  • Strong Rhino skills (including Grasshopper) highly regarded
