Technical Applications Specialist

We are flexible regarding the Woods Bagot studio in which you are located. Options include: San Francisco, or Los Angeles.

Woods Bagot is hiring a Technical Applications Specialist to join a global research and development team driving cultural change through technical innovation and design technology. We’d love to talk with individuals with backgrounds in technology and architecture, and who have experience in the use of an ecosystem of technologies to design, collaborate, communicate, and deliver the next generation of architecture and interiors projects.

We believe design and delivery must be agile, and we operate our international team to suit. We run a flexible working environment to ensure a strong work/life balance. This includes options for partial work-from-home and time-shifting your hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with members of the Design Technology and IT Teams, this position will involve:
  • Coordinate the packaging, testing and deployment of design technology software across the company, including Autodesk Revit and other products, McNeel Rhino, and a range of related software
  • Work with project teams and software specialists to understand requirements and assist with support requests where relevant.
  • Management of cloud-based delivery platforms and data repositories, including working with internal developers to automate processes related to these platforms
  • Research into future platforms for design technology and project delivery
  • Coordinating licensing renewals

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering architecture or interiors projects is beneficial
  • Experience in Revit and Rhino is beneficial, but not essential
  • Experience in the application of technology workflows to design projects is beneficial
  • Experience with computer programming would be beneficial
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability use time effectively, maximise efficiency, and meet challenging goals
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and independently

We want to work with you to create the future of design, delivery, and experience for the built environment. We believe this demands the development of new design and delivery workflows to cross the silos of AECO roles, enabling enhanced experiences for all stakeholders and those who inhabit the spaces we design. Woods Bagot will drive a workflow and technology ecosystem with an agile stance, moving beyond what is provided by a previously platform-centric technology culture. This new ecosystem elevates collaboration, communication, and data flow across the entire project lifecycle to be first-class citizens in design and project delivery.
