About the role

The Talent Acquisition Lead (Global) will support and execute the in-house strategic talent sourcing and acquisition needs of the global Woods Bagot and ERA-co business to provide a high standard of strategic search and recruitment. Working with senior leadership, this role will contribute to enabling a culture that values diversity and includes everybody.

Reporting to the Manager, People and Talent, you will be part of a small, experienced and supportive People and Culture (P&C) global function based in the Sydney studio, providing strategic talent acquisition expertise across Australia, New Zealand, China, North America, Europe and the Middle East.

Your responsibilities include recruiting and engaging the right senior strategic talent across Woods Bagot globally, focusing on:

  1. Strategic talent acquisition

Full cycle global talent acquisition of strategic and key roles across Woods Bagot:

  • Undertake the process of life cycle recruiting analysing and identifying talent gaps, sourcing, attracting, screening and recruiting senior strategic talent to the business
  • Work with the business to assess the internal talent and contribute to appropriate career and succession planning. Where the need for external recruitment is identified, proactively contact / approach potential candidates, generate, source and recruit the best talent available from local, domestic and international markets.
  • Build strong relationships and networks with key external stakeholders, recruitment agencies (where required), prospective candidates and industry bodies
  1. Strategic sourcing of talent

Proactively researching, developing, contacting and building leads, talent pools and pipelines for strategic, unique and hard to fill roles across our global business:

  1. Global best practice sourcing and selection

Contribute to building the W-B practice of the future and a diverse workforce by focusing on global best practice talent acquisition processes, systems and practices.


Qualifications and Experience

The key qualifications and experience required to succeed in this role:

  • Ideally, Human Resources Management or business discipline tertiary qualification (or HR certification)
  • Deep and full cycle hands-on talent acquisition experience (inhouse or agency) ideally gained in a global Architectural firm, commercial Real Estate, engineering or professional services environment
  • In-depth knowledge of candidate sourcing techniques for active and passive candidates
  • Strategic understanding of recruitment tools and electronic job boards including prior knowledge of HR tools and processes, operating applicant tracking systems (ATS) and social media-based recruitment.
  • Intermediate to advanced hands-on knowledge of how to use LinkedIn and LinkedIn Recruiter and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Technological adaptability beneficial.
  • A mindset which enables you to multitask and manage time effectively, whether it is to conduct interviews or participate in Microsoft Teams online conferences out of hours or ‘putting in the hard yards’ as the need arises.
  • Ability to work as part of a global team and as well as independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional writing and verbal communication skills in addition to active listening skill
