Studio IT Administrator

About the role

Woods Bagot has an exciting opportunity to bring on a Studio IT Administrator to help with and provide technical support to our Sydney Studio and the Australian Region. The role is vital to the ongoing operations and success of the Region as they deliver large-scale architecture projects. Key to this is ensuring that IT delivery in the studio runs smoothly, staff have confidence with the IT systems and an enthusiastic and positive attitude is applied at all times.

Key responsibilities

General technical support

  • To provide technical support to IT requests from users for all PC hardware, software and associated peripherals
  • To maintain studio Video Conferencing equipment, including providing proactive maintenance, support and training
  • Provide guidance and technical input for Studio IT needs, such as setting up project sites and other requirements as they arise

Manage IT requests

  • To log support calls and document their outcome to facilitate the resolution of queries.
  • Proactively provide information to users on the progress of outstanding support calls and helpdesk tickets

Manage IT assets in the Studio

  • To deploy PCs and associated peripherals including new installations and redeployment of existing equipment
  • To install and configure operating systems to agreed standards under the direction of Group IT
  • To maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to standards determined by Group IT by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures when required
  • To maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software

Policy and Standards

  • To work with members of the studio team to ensure compliance with information and communication policies and procedures
  • To assist in the completion of the Group’s technical documentation, guidelines and procedures and ensure they are disseminated to users when requested
  • To provide at all times a professional, courteous and rapid response to individual users
  • To undertake such projects of a level commensurate with the responsibility of the position as designated by Group IT
  • To maintain personal and professional development, participate in appropriate training activities, and encourage and support the team in their development and training

You will be able to demonstrate

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications
  • 3-4 years solid working experience on desktop support
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Office 365 administration skills
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ITIL
  • Windows 10 troubleshooting skills
  • Operating System deployment via SCCM
  • LAN trouble shooting skills
  • OCE wide format printer management
  • Uniflow printing
  • Microsoft Teams Room based AV system skills
  • Experience in performing IT training
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows Server 2012 and newer
  • Working knowledge of Windows file shares
  • Experience in dealing with service providers will be an added advantage
  • Experience with configuring, backing up and restoring iPhones.
  • Rolling out iPhones via Intune (MDM)
  • Experience supporting industry software (Revit, Rhino, Enscape) is a bonus
  • Valid certification of MCSE/MCITP/CCNA are preferable
  • ITIL certifications
