Senior Interior Designer / Architect

About the Role

Woods Bagot are looking for an experienced Interior Designer, or Architect with an interiors focus, to join a team that is producing some of Sydney’s most iconic residential projects.

We are seeking a technically proficient and narrative-driven designer to join us in bringing our client’s vision to life. We take our pride in our ability to provide bespoke solutions that enhance the customer experience while addressing the unique challenges of each project.

At Woods Bagot we are collaborative in our approach and as such you will be an asset to our team, taking the lead on residential projects to produce creative and effective designs for our clients. You will have an eye for design, evident in your well put together portfolio and the ability to document independently using Revit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare concept designs under direction of senior leaders, to pitch for projects, competitions and potential clients
  • Prepare space planning, test fitting and schematic design schemes for interior design multi-residential projects
  • Prepare design development presentations and documentation
  • Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants under the guidance of a senior designer
  • Prepare tender documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications under the guidance of a senior designer
  • Prepare construction documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications under the guidance of a senior designer

About You

This position requires a strong all rounder with high-level conceptual design and client management skills, supported by extensive hands-on project experience. You will have a proven track record of managing project programs and leading teams.

You will be able to Demonstrate:

  • 8+ years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Interior Design field with a strong focus in the residential sector
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Strong Revit skills and capability of using independently is essential
  • Demonstrate some skills in overarching concept design to design development
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with suppliers
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills
