About the role

The role will be based in our Sydney studio and will assist Principals as a Project Leader and deliver projects with high quality design outcomes for a range of project typologies.

This position requires a strong all rounder with high level conceptual design and client management skills, supported by extensive hands-on project experience. You will have a proven track record of managing project programs and leading teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead bids and submissions for potential projects, competitions and new clients
  • Contribute to strategic business planning for Interior Design sectors
  • Lead interior design teams to develop concept designs through to practical completion
  • Present to clients and other stakeholders
  • Prepare space planning and schematic design schemes for workplace projects
  • Prepare design development presentations and documentation
  • Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants
  • Manage tender documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Manage construction documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Documentation with Revit
  • Contribute to the culture and development of the interior design team

About you

As the successful candidate you will have past experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have specialised experience in the design and construction of architectural projects.

You will be able to demonstrate

  • 8+ years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Interior Design field
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Demonstrate exceptional skills in concept design and narrative development
  • Experience in writing bids and submissions
  • Strong experience using Revit
  • Demonstrate experience in strategic business planning, contributing to writing business plans
  • Stakeholder engagement and ability to lead client meetings
  • Ability to write and manage project programs
  • Proven experience delivering profitable projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Capable of mentoring junior staff
  • Technical knowledge
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with clients and consultants
  • Familiar with Australian building regulations and standards, BADS
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills
  • Hand sketching skills desirable
