Senior Designer

About the role

This is a career growth opportunity that will allow you to gain valuable experience working alongside our Project Leaders in the design, documentation and delivery of our award-winning projects. This position requires a true all-rounder who is capable of both design and documentation of a project. You will have a positive, and professional attitude towards clients and fellow co-workers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the Design Leader in the realisation of client briefs
• Undertaking concept design of the project in accordance with that brief
• Provide technical support on drawings and documentation
• Work closely with the design team in the review ideation and the evolution of our projects and assist in resolving complex design issues
• Ability to communicate in sketches, 3D vignettes and technical drawings
• Liaising and ability to coordinate with external consultants, including cross checking of drawings and Revit models
• Happy to be hands on and work across the DA/CD documentation stages when required
• Respond to project correspondence as directed by the Project Leader but also capable of taking initiative where possible

About you

As the successful candidate you will have past experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have specialised experience in the design and construction of architectural projects.

You will be able to demonstrate

• 10+ years experience (or equivalent) working in the Architecture field
• Hold a Masters Degree in Architecture
• Diverse project background – desirable
• Strong Revit skills (Dynamo experience advantageous)
• Rhino skills (including Grasshopper) highly regarded
• Solid knowledge of the full Adobe suite (InDesign & Photoshop essential)
• Enscape skills and additional rendering software programs e.g. Vray
• Demonstrate sound skills in overarching concept design to design development
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of project delivery requirements
• Excellent documentation skills
• Local BCA standards and regulation knowledge essential
• Ability to mentor and guide less experience team members
