Project Architect / Leader

About the role

Our busy Perth studio is looking for a Project Architect / Leader to join our strong studio of high-performers. Your attitude, acumen and compatibility to team culture will be key.

This position requires a true all-rounder who is capable of both design and documentation of a project. We are seeking a natural leader with a professional attitude towards clients and fellow co-workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day coordination of the project
  • Liaising and ability to coordinate with external consultants, including cross checking of drawings and Revit models
  • Assist the Design Leader in the realisation of client briefs
  • Work closely with the design team in the review ideation and the evolution of our projects and assist in resolving complex design issues
  • Ability to communicate in sketches, 3D vignettes and technical drawings
  • Provide technical support on drawings and documentation to support the team as required
  • Respond to project correspondence as directed by the Project Leader but also capable of taking initiative where possible.

About you

As the successful candidate you will have specialised experience in the design and construction of architectural projects, and past experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team.

You will be a technically minded individual who can competently translate design to deliver through all phases including site delivery.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 8+ years experience (or equivalent) working in the Architecture field
  • Registration is a plus but not essential
  • Varied experience across large and smaller scale projects 
  • Experience across Transport and/or Commercial projects advantageous
  • An eye for design complemented with experience across all project phases
  • Intermediate Revit skills is essential, advanced level is advantageous
  • Enscape visualization skills is advantageous (Vray and any additional rendering software program skills are NOT required)
  • Basic Rhino skills and understanding of Rhino / Revit interoperability workflows is advantageous
  • Solid knowledge of the full Adobe suite (InDesign & Photoshop essential)
  • Demonstrate sound skills in translating/converting a concept design through design development
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of project delivery requirements
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Local BCA standards and regulation knowledge essential
  • Ability to mentor and guide less experience team members
