About the role

A successful candidate will be highly motivated, creative, collaborative, and resourceful leader who excels in developing ideas to exceptional design outcomes. The position is dedicated to helping clients achieve business value by applying tailored solutions with Woods Bagot’s research, design, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan the project design, delivery, and financial strategy in conjunction with studio leadership and monitor performance against that plan
  • Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP & consultants throughout the project
  • Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, building and permitting officials to coordinate the work and create innovative, efficient project design and delivery
  • Review project correspondence, meeting notes and other data to keep fully informed on the project
  • Actively collaborates at a project, consultant team, and client team level by critically and constructively evaluating ideas. Contributes to and actively participates within the studio and office.
  • Effectively communicates internally with project teams and externally with consultants and clients through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means and follow-up on the action items
  • Coordinate with the studio management on the status of current and future resource requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
  • Guide the project design to meet local codes and regulations
  • Maintain project manual and specifications
  • Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction
  • Experienced in developing documentation for all phases of design and delivery, including construction administration and Quality Management.
  • Participate in monthly work-in-progress reviews to ensure project timeline, invoicing, and budget are maintained
  • Utilize Revit and BIM360 and other modern methods for model-based reviews, design, presentation, and production
  • Ensure that all project risks are identified and mitigated in coordination with studio leadership
  • Ensure that the project is managed effectively and with foresight and to maximize profit within the context of other responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of GIG (Global Impact Group) initiatives for sustainability, wellness, and social impact throughout the project phases
  • Inspires and leads others by example, participates in staff mentoring and training, clearly defines team member expectations and responsibilities, empowers others, and delegates where appropriate based on team members’ recognized abilities and potential.

You will be able to demonstrate

  • Experience in the UK, with knowledge of multiple project types. International experience is an advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of innovative façade solutions and building refurbishment.
  • Large mixed-use project experience in RIBA Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • A proven record of project delivery, in a hands-on and supervisory capacity, on time and within budget.
  • Deep understanding of project delivery utilizing Revit, BIM360, design best practice, tools, techniques, market trends and product innovation.
  • Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skills
  • Understanding of generally applied international procurement processes
  • Expertise in advanced 3D software and programming including Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite to produce detailed design packages.
