Project Architect

The Project Architect takes responsibility within and outside the studio for the management of a project, including the management of employees, coordination of consultants and other resources involved in the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Design Leader in the realization of client briefs
  • Undertaking concept design of the project in accordance with that brief
  • Provide technical support on drawings and documentation
  • Work closely with the design team in the review ideation and the evolution of our projects and assist in resolving complex design issues
  • Ability to communicate in sketches, 3D vignettes and technical drawings
  • Liaising and ability to coordinate with external consultants, including cross checking of drawings and Revit models
  • Happy to be hands on and work across the DA/CD documentation stages when required
  • Respond to project correspondence as directed by the Project Leader but also capable of taking initiative where possible

You will be able to demonstrate

  • 10+ years experience (or equivalent) working in the Architecture field
  • Diverse project background – desirable
  • Large-scale project background – essential
  • Solid knowledge of the full Adobe suite (InDesign & Photoshop essential)
  • Demonstrate sound skills in overarching concept design to design development
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to mentor and guide less experience team members
  • A proven record of project delivery, in a hands-on and supervisory capacity, on time and within budget
  • Deep understanding of project delivery utilizing Revit, BIM360, design best practice, tools, techniques, market trends and product innovation.
  • Understanding of generally applied procurement processes in the local market
  • Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skills

Requirements:

  • Master of Architecture Degree
  • Licensed architect preferred
  • LEED accreditation preferred
