Junior Interior Designer

About the role

Woods Bagot is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to expand its San Francisco practice. The ideal candidate must be able to work in an open, collaborative, and highly connected environment. There is significant growth potential for the successful candidate who will be dedicated, ambitious, and creative.

Key Responsibilities

You will assist the interior design team in the delivery of a multi-disciplinary approach, crossing the boundaries between workplace, residential, and hospitality design.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in a collaborative team environment locally and across the Global Studios
  • Assisting and supporting intermediate and senior designers in all phases of design through documentation
  • Translating conceptual ideas through diagrams, key visualizations, and renderings within a presentation package
  • Developing overall design concepts and finish palettes through all phases of design
  • Researching products, materials, and furniture

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Up to 3 years of experience (or equivalent) and understanding of workplace/residential/hospitality design and integrated interior architecture projects
  • Revit and Adobe Creative Suite proficiency is required
  • Enscape and Rhino experience is a plus
  • Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills
  • Strong verbal and graphic communication skills
  • Experience with researching, selecting, and specifying materials and finishes
  • Experience with furniture selection and specification
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, open environment
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, energetic, organized, and willing to learn and adapt
