Interior Designer

About the role

The role will be based in our Sydney studio and report to the Principal Interior Design, the role works closely with other Senior Designers and Associates.

This is an exciting career move that will allow you to take ownership of the day to day running of projects from start to finish, supporting the Project Leader. You will work across projects of varying scales and sectors, alongside a creative and high performing team. You will have a positive, and professional attitude towards clients and fellow co-workers.

Your ability to document independently in Revit will be key in securing this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare concept designs with Senior Designers and/or Principals
  • Confidently pitch and present for projects, competitions and potential clients
  • Prepare spatial planning, test fit and schematic design schemes
  • Prepare design development presentations and documentation
  • Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants
  • Prepare tender documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Prepare construction documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants and suppliers as required

About you

As the successful candidate you will have past experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have specialised experience in the design and construction of interior design and architectural projects.

 

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 3 -7 years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Interior Design field
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Intermediate – advanced Revit skills essential. You must be capable of independently documenting in revit
  • Demonstrate sound skills in overarching concept design to design development
  • Technical knowledge and ability to developing fit out details and take the design through to documentation
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with suppliers and consultants
  • Familiar with Australian building regulations and standards
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills
