Interior Designer

We are looking for both design and delivery focused Interior Designers to join our London Studio, working across multiple sectors, but with an initial focus on our strong pipeline of residential and hospitality projects.

This is a career growth opportunity, to upskill and work closely with Senior Designers and Associates within both architecture and interiors. The successful candidates will be highly motivated, creative, collaborative and resourceful team members with a positive and professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.

About Woods Bagot

We are collaborative in our approach and as such you will be an asset to our regional team, assisting on global projects to produce creative and effective designs for our clients. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare concept designs with Senior Designers, to pitch for projects, competitions and potential clients
  • Prepare schematic design schemes
  • Prepare design development presentations and documentation
  • Furniture selection, prepare furniture RFPs, prepare final furniture specifications documents 
  • Prepare finishes and materials boards for client presentations and prepare final finish specification documents and plans 
  • Develop design ideas 
  • Contribute to interior design brain storming, strategies and processes 
  • Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants
  • Prepare tender documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Prepare construction documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications.

About you

You will have experience working within a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You will have worked across various phases of projects and have an eagerness to learn and develop your skills further. You will fit into a studio of high-performers and contribute to the evolution of our culture.

You will have a Bachelor degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture and be able to demonstrate:

  • 2+ years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Interior Design field
  • Intermediate Revit skills – the capability to use Revit independently is essential
  • Residential/hospitality project experience advantageous
  • Sound skills in overarching concept design to design development
  • Technical knowledge and an ability to develop fit out details and to take the design through to documentation
  • An ability and confidence in dealing with suppliers
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills
